Several days ago while catching up on my blog reading, I picked up this phrase from my friend Gareth. These two words together have been floating around in my mind for days now and I've found them to be both a wonderful description and a needed reminder.
Idle and blessed describes my summer, while I wait on God, in God, and with God.
Idle and blessed reminds me of how fortunate I am to have this time of relaxation & renewal.
And as I went to sleep the other night with an adorable cat curled up at my feet and the sound of gentle rain lulling my droopy eyelids, the words played over and over in my heart & soul...idle and blessed.
